Good evening Castaways, and welcome to this week's IC! Tonight's challenge is called "Teasing the Brain."
Each Castaway has been paired up with another Castaway from the opposing tribe. Each pair will face off in a "brain-teaser" question that has been posted in each pair's sub-board. (Go to the "Immunity" board for these.) Your job is to solve the question faster than your opponent. Once you have figured out the answer, post it in the thread containing your question. If you answer correctly faster than your opponent, then you will earn a point for your tribe. The first tribe to win two points will win Immunity.
Since Jen and Tamara gave up three IC's in IC #5, they will be ineligible to participate in this week's IC. Since Rincon still has one extra member, Christy will also be sitting out. You have until 3:40 PM tomorrow to complete this IC. At that time, I will tabulate the results and post them. If a tribe finishes early, then I will post the results early. If you have any questions, please ask!
Survivors ready? Go!

Since Elliott is not back yet, Ashley may do his question for him.

The results are in! Both Ashley and Jennifer answered Teaser #1 correctly, but Jennifer answered just seconds faster, so she earns a point for Rincon! Both David and Elliott answered Teaser #2 correctly, but David answered four minutes faster, so he earns a point for Rincon! Colleen answered Teaser #3 correctly, and Jill did not, so Colleen earns a point for Rincon! Therefore, by a score of 3-0, Rincon wins Immunity! Kralendijk, unfortunately you will be heading to TC this week where one of you will be voted out.
As for this week's Karma results, Christy wins for Rincon with 33 points, but we have a tie for Kralendijk's winner. Both Ashley and Elliott have 67 points, so I will allow until 3:40 PM tomorrow to see who has the higher point value between the two. Christy will be safe for Rincon regardless if Rincon wins Immunity next week.
Here are the answers to the teasers:
1. This was just a catch question. One of the coins is really not a nickel because nickel is the other coin. So it is a fifty cent piece and a nickel -- it said ONE isn't a nickel, but the OTHER ONE IS!
2. Of course, when the trains encounter, they will be approximately the same distance away from New York. The New York train will be closer to New York by approximately one train length because they're coming from different directions. That is, unless you take "meet" to mean "perfectly overlap".
3. There is a complicated way counting a sequence. Or simply knowing that if the fly is flying the 2 hours still at the same speed of 75 km/h then it flies a distance of 150 km.
